The Bellarine Rail Trail
I recently visited the Geelong outdoors and The Bellarine Rail Trail is a popular destination for both locals and visitors alike. The trail offers stunning views of the natural beauty of the area, and it’s a great place to get some exercise and fresh air.
Starting off at the trailhead, you’ll be greeted with a gentle incline as you make your way through the lush forest. The trail is well-maintained and easy to follow, with clear signage along the way to keep you on track. The scenery is simply breathtaking, with majestic trees towering above you and a babbling brook running alongside the trail.
As you make your way up the trail, the incline becomes a bit steeper, but it’s nothing too challenging. You’ll pass by some gorgeous lookout points that offer sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Don’t forget to bring your camera, as there are plenty of photo opportunities to capture the beauty of the trail.
One of the best things about the trail is that it’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Families with young children can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the forest, while avid hikers can challenge themselves with a more strenuous workout. Just be sure to wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.
As someone who loves to be outdoors and explore nature, I have to say that this trail did not disappoint. The scenery is simply breath taking, and the peacefulness of the forest was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I particularly enjoyed the lookout points, where I could pause and take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The fresh air and exercise did wonders for my mood, and I felt rejuvenated after spending a few hours on the trail.
I highly recommend this trail to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful hike in nature. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking for a fun family outing, this trail has something to offer everyone. So pack a picnic lunch, grab your hiking shoes, and get ready to explore the beauty of the great outdoors! Once your done here you could head to the Narana Aborigional Cultural Centre.
